A culmination of career moves.

A woman with degrees and post grads in international development, teaching and workplace education and a Company Director who recruits Australian and international volunteers to contribute to animal welfare organisations worldwide, would surely make an unusual candidate for a buyer’s agent. However, property doesn’t discriminate. It tempts you and invites you into a world of interesting homes, stunning gardens, intriguing locations, design and flair, wealth creation and the epitome of it all, the excitement and satisfaction of buying your own home to live in.

Tracy will never forget being a spectator at her first auction in Melbourne two decades ago. People lining the street, the buzz in the air, the hype of the auctioneer and eight bidders fighting it out for the opportunity to purchase their dream home. The price went up and up, and with the fall of the hammer, cheers and claps rang out from the crowd. It was an electrifying atmosphere, one that was repeated over and over in the late 90’s when Melbourne property was just starting to boom. You had to be in it to win it, and those that got into the market then have never looked back. After several purchases and renovations, it was obvious that she was hooked on property and inevitable that Tracy would start working in the real estate industry.

Like many that start in the real estate industry, it takes a while to find your niche and we found ourselves changing and adapting to suit the opportunities that came our way. This enabled us to build experience in a variety of roles in a variety of agencies and eventually culminated in us becoming buyer’s agents.

We have learnt that it takes years of experience to learn the intricacies of how property works and what can transpire when inexperienced people fail to put the correct safeguards in place. To be an effective buyer’s agent, a thorough understanding of the real estate industry across a range of disciplines is essential in order to navigate a successful purchase. We are fortunate to have had roles in sales, property management, training, trust accounting, management and marketing which have given us a sound base of skills, experience and knowledge that come together in our role as Brisbane buyer’s agents.

Locating a suitable property and negotiating the purchase for clients is very rewarding. It is commonplace to be speaking on a daily basis as new properties come onto the market and inspection reports are communicated. The parameters vary with every purchase, however, the fundamentals are the same. If you are thinking of utilising the services of a Brisbane buyer’s agent, then be sure to engage someone who has the suitable experience to navigate easily through the process and ensure a seamless outcome.
